State-controlled Sinopec, China's largest refiner, forecasts its refining production to fall to 226 million tons (4.55 million barrels per day) this year.
This would be the company's lowest oil throughput since 2012.
The warning from Sinopec comes as Chinese oil demand is seen reaching a peak.
