Sirte Oil Company Smashes Production Record with 116k bpd Output
The Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Processing Company has achieved its highest production rate to date, reaching approximately 116,000 barrels of oil per day. This milestone was reached after the successful completion of drilling 17 development wells and bringing 44 previously inactive wells back into production.
The company's workforce across various sites played a crucial role in this achievement, which is attributed to ongoing support from the National Oil Corporation (NOC). The NOC recently held its annual technical and financial meeting for 2026 at Sirte Oil's headquarters in Marsa El Brega.
During the meeting, officials noted that work is underway to finalize the development of the NC 216 area, which will further increase production rates. Additionally, the company continues to invest in gas system upgrades to support the national economy and proceed with infrastructure projects and operational facility developments.
