SK Enmove Bolsters North American Presence through Strategic Base Oil Partnership

SK Enmove has expanded its presence in the North American base oil market through a strategic agreement with HF Sinclair. The two companies concluded a signing ceremony for cooperation on the supply and distribution of Group III base oil in North America at SK's Seorin Building in Seoul on August 19.

The deal marks a significant milestone for SK Enmove, which has secured a long-term contract to supply its premium 'YUBASE' brand to HF Sinclair. The US-based company will use the high-quality base oil to produce its own lubricant products and hold exclusive distribution rights in certain regions of North America.

HF Sinclair is a major lubricant business operator with a presence in over 80 countries, and this partnership combines SK Enmove's stable production capacity with HF Sinclair's extensive sales network. The cooperation is particularly significant given the recent disruptions to global refining facilities due to geopolitical risks in the Middle East, which have led to supply shortages in the premium base oil market.

SK Enmove President Kim Won-ki described the contract as an opportunity to strengthen the company's North American business and emphasized its commitment to providing a stable product supply base to local customers. With this partnership, SK Enmove has secured a solid sales channel in one of the world's largest lubricant markets.
