SNT Energy Supplies HRSGs for 290-MW LNG District Energy Plant
SNT Energy has completed its supply of heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) for a 290-megawatt liquefied natural gas district energy plant in South Chungcheong Province. The project, pursued by HD Hyundai E&F, aims to provide stable electricity and steam supplies to industrial facilities in the Daesan area of Seosan. SNT Energy won the HRSG supply contract from Hyundai Engineering.
The company carried out delivery and performance testing as planned. An HRSG is a power generation facility that recovers high-temperature exhaust gas from gas turbines to produce steam, improving energy efficiency and supplying steam needed by power plants and industrial facilities.
According to SNT Energy CEO Shin Kyung-in, the project 'reaffirmed our technological capabilities and execution track record in HRSG systems linked to mid-sized gas turbines.' He also stated that the company will further expand its position in the global HRSG market, beyond combined-cycle and industrial power generation markets at home and abroad.
