SOCAR Paves Way for Comstock LNG Exports

Azerbaijan's State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) is planning to open new liquefied natural gas (LNG) export channels for US energy company Comstock Resources.

The proposed partnership could give Comstock greater access to global natural gas markets, including opportunities in the LNG sector, according to an assessment by S&P Global Ratings.

S&P said the partnership could help Comstock expand its international sales channels, develop trading capabilities, and strengthen its downstream marketing operations.
