Solewant Group Unveils Africa's Largest Protective Coatings Factory in Rivers State

Nigeria has taken a significant step towards industrialization and local content development with the inauguration of Solewant Group's state-of-the-art Specialty Protective Coatings and Paints Manufacturing Plant in Rivers State.

The facility, which has been described as the best in metal and pipe coating solutions in Nigeria, is expected to provide locally manufactured protective coating solutions for ageing pipelines, thereby addressing one of Nigeria's biggest oil production challenges.

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, commended Solewant Group for its vision and commitment to local content development. He noted that the company's expansion into Namibia marked the beginning of broader opportunities for Nigerian companies across Africa's energy sector.

The new plant will create employment opportunities, deepen technical skills development, and position Nigeria as a competitive player in the African protective coatings market.
