Solis Minerals Drills into Brazil Lithium Potential Amid Rising Demand
Solis Minerals Ltd is an emerging exploration company focused on unlocking the potential of its South American critical minerals portfolio. The company has made significant progress in its lithium and copper exploration efforts, particularly in Brazil and Peru.
Recently, Solis commenced diamond drilling at its Mandacaru Lithium Project in Brazil as part of a 10-hole, 2,000-metre campaign targeting a substantial lithium-caesium-tantalum pegmatite system. The drilling program is designed to assess the continuity and geometry of the pegmatites and their potential to contain spodumene mineralisation at depth.
Copper demand is expected to increase due to investment in power grids, renewable energy, electric vehicles, and digital infrastructure, with the International Energy Agency forecasting a 7 million-tonne increase by 2040. Solis Minerals' copper exploration activities in Peru are also gaining momentum, with plans for a drone-borne magnetometry survey scheduled for early August at the Guaneros Project.
