Suez Oil Processing Company (SOPC) exceeded its crude processing targets in FY 2025/2026, refining nearly 1.4 million tons of crude oil to produce various petroleum products.

The company, which is wholly owned by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), supplied mazut, asphalt, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), diesel, and gasoline, as well as marine bunkering fuels.

SOPC Chairman Mohamed Shehata El-Baz noted that the final quarter of the fiscal year saw a significant increase in crude processing compared to the targeted level. The company focused on ensuring safe operations, strengthening process safety, and improving refining costs during the year.

El-Baz highlighted progress in the development and implementation of SOPC's coking and diesel production complex, which is designed to convert lower-value petroleum products into higher-value products and increase domestic production.
