Sound Agriculture Unveils INFLECT to Boost Corn Yields on Ammonium-Heavy Acres

Sound Agriculture has introduced INFLECT, a seed-applied biological designed to help corn growers increase yields on acres managed with anhydrous ammonia and manure. The product combines two bacterial strains, B. simplex and B. subtilis, with the endophytic fungal strain C. nivea.

The selected strains can tolerate high-salt, high-stress conditions created by ammonium-heavy fertility and help growers unlock more of the nitrogen already applied. This supports early vigor, uniform stands, and stronger performance under stress, according to Sound Agriculture.

In 12 trial locations across Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri in 2025, INFLECT achieved an average yield gain of 6 bu/A at a 92% win rate. The company claims a return of about $32 per acre at current corn prices, making it a potentially attractive option for growers.

Sound Agriculture is offering early-order pricing through October 15, 2026, with INFLECT priced at $12 per acre for the 2027 growing season. The product carries a cash-back performance guarantee, allowing growers to claim back up to the full cost if they do not see a return.
