South African Forex Reserves Hit Three-Month High
South Africa's foreign exchange reserves have reached a three-month high of $75.95 billion in August, according to TradingView.
This significant increase is attributed to several factors, including an upward adjustment in the US dollar gold price, the maturity of forward exchange contracts conducted for liquidity management purposes, and valuation adjustments stemming from movements in foreign exchange and asset prices.
The country's gold reserves have also seen a substantial rise, reaching $17.995 billion in August, up from $16.375 billion in July.
