South Carolina Grain Prices See Mixed Results Amid Industry Volatility
The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service released its South Carolina Daily Grain Bids report for August 21, 2026. The report detailed cash grain bids and futures settlements across the state.
Corn bids rose by 5 cents, with new crop corn bids also increasing by 5 cents. Soybean bids were 4 cents higher, while new crop soybean bids gained 2 to 3 cents. Wheat bids were mixed, ranging from 1 cent lower to 5 cents higher, with new crop wheat bids down 1 cent.
Futures settlements on the Chicago Board of Trade showed corn for September 2026 delivery at 483.75 cents per bushel, December 2026 at 508.50, and March 2027 at 523.50. Soybean futures for September 2026 settled at 1225.00 cents, November 2026 at 1239.50, and January 2027 at 1253.75.
