The South Pars gas field in the Gulf has seen significant progress in its recovery from damage sustained during the war. According to Iran's Deputy Oil Minister Ahmed Zeraatkar, around 40% of the damaged capacity is now back in production.

South Pars, which is shared by Iran and Qatar, is the world's largest offshore natural gas field. The news comes as a positive development for Iran's oil industry, despite some challenges.

In related news, Iran's Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad has confirmed that oil sales and deliveries in 'distant waters' continue, albeit at a reduced level.
