Southwest Cool-Down Sends Natural Gas Prices Plummeting

Natural gas prices plummeted at most hubs on Friday for delivery through Monday as cooler weather reversed the Desert Southwest's late-week price spike.

The shift in temperature brought down prices, with Arizona Natural Gas Cash falling $4. This decrease was largely due to the drop in temperatures in the region.

On the other hand, the eastward-shifting heat dome lifted prices at Louisiana and Southeast hubs. Waha natural gas prices climbed back up to $2 as a result of this shift.
