Soy Markets Soar as Crop Ratings Falter
Grain and soy markets have seen significant increases in recent days, driven by factors such as falling crop ratings and a hot and dry forecast ahead. The USDA reported private exporters selling 136,000 metric tons (5 million bushels) of soybeans to China for delivery during the 2026/2027 marketing year.
The December corn price has risen by 1.5 cents per bushel, while November soybeans have increased by 14.25 cents. Other grains such as KC wheat and Chicago wheat have also seen gains, but MIAX wheat remains relatively stable.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 279.27 points, while the U.S. Dollar Index rose by 0.180 and October crude oil increased by $2.28 per barrel. Conversely, December gold prices dropped by $84.40 per ounce.
