Soybean Futures Rise on Pro Farmer Crop Tour Estimates
Soybean futures at the Chicago Board of Trade rose on Friday as they followed up on the results of the Pro Farmer Crop Tour.
The tour estimated that soybean pod count for Iowa was down 1.6% from last year at 1,362.93 per three-by-three-foot square, while Minnesota saw a 0.9% increase at 1,257.8.
The USDA announced two private sales of 2026-27 soybeans: 712,000 tonnes to China and 720,000 tonnes to unknown destinations.
Corn futures also rose in sympathy with soybeans, despite a projected yield decrease in Iowa and Minnesota due to the Pro Farmer Crop Tour's estimates.
