Soybean Prices Soar, Argentina Farmers Cash In on China Demand
Argentina's soybean farmers are capitalizing on the recent price rally by accelerating sales. According to the Rosario grains exchange, they traded 1.03 million metric tons of 2025/26 soybeans during the week ending September 2, the largest weekly volume since late July.
The price surge is driven by factors such as firmer oil prices tied to U.S.-Iran tensions and deteriorating U.S. crop conditions. Chinese demand for U.S. soybeans is also playing a crucial role in this rally.
Brazil's export limits could further support U.S. soybean exports during the key marketing period, especially if concerns over domestic crop conditions continue to support prices.
