Soybeans Surge as USDA Announces New Export Sales
Cassidy Walter reported that commodity markets experienced some movement on Thursday, September 10, 2026. The USDA announced new export sales of soybeans, with China purchasing 272,000 metric tons for the 2026/2027 marketing year and unknown destinations buying 206,500 metric tons.
The November soybean price increased by 8¢ to $13.17½ per bushel, while December CBOT wheat was up less than a penny at $7.29 per bushel. In contrast, December Kansas City wheat was down 3¼¢ at $8.03 per bushel.
Cassidy Walter spoke with Bob Linneman, commodities broker with Kluis Commodity Advisors, who expects the September World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report to confirm new-crop corn and soybean yield estimates near 178.1 bushels per acre for corn and 52.4 bpa for soybeans.
