Sri Lankan Short Eats Prices Hike Amid Wheat Flour Cost Increase
The price of short eats in Sri Lanka is set to rise by Rs.5 following a hike in wheat flour prices, according to the President of the All-Island Restaurant and Canteen Owners' Association, Harshana Rukshan.
This increase will affect popular items such as paratha, egg roti, vegetable roti, rolls, and patties.
The price hike is attributed to significant increases in shipping, insurance fees, and grain prices since the onset of the Middle East conflict in February.
