Stable Gold Prices in India Ahead of Festive Season
The retail market in India is dominated by two types of gold purity: 24-karat and 22-karat. While 24-karat gold is considered the purest form, 22-karat gold is more commonly used for jewelry due to its added strength and durability.
Gold prices in India are influenced by a range of factors, including the international gold price, the exchange rate of the US Dollar, and domestic demand, particularly ahead of the festive season.
The current gold rates across major Indian cities remain largely stable. In Delhi, for example, 24-karat gold is priced at ₹1,52,720 per 10 grams, while 22-karat gold costs ₹1,39,993 per 10 grams.
Joyalukkas and Malabar Gold & Diamonds are among the top jewelry retailers in India, with their prices for 22-karat gold set at ₹14,155 per gram. Tanishq's 22K gold rate is ₹14,200 per gram.
