British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has expressed his willingness to expand oil and gas production in the North Sea, following a conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump.

The prime minister's statement came after the U.S. president claimed that he had received assurances from Bernham regarding the possibility of oil production in the North Sea.

Trump told reporters that if Britain were to open up oil drilling in the North Sea, it would become a 'rich country.'
