Stonehorse Energizes Canadian Output with Drumheller Drilling Success
Stonehorse Energy Ltd is ramping up development activity in the Drumheller oil and gas region of Alberta, Canada. The company's strategy focuses on growing liquids-weighted production, improving netbacks, and strengthening the economics of its Canadian onshore portfolio.
Stonehorse has successfully completed and brought online four new wells in the area, with wells #5 and #6 adding a combined 262 BOEPD to total output. The company's total area output is now above 500 BOEPD, more than 55% oil weighted. Management says these new wells are boosting profitability.
Stonehorse plans to join further development wells in 2026 as its partner readies a larger drilling program across over 75 potential new locations in the region. The company's business strategy emphasizes increasing oil weighting and netbacks in its Canadian operations, supporting stronger margins and cash flow within its North American portfolio.
