Strait of Hormuz Attack Kills Two Sailors in Saudi Oil Tanker Incident

A devastating attack on a Saudi oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz has left two sailors dead, according to Bahri, Saudi Arabia's national shipping company. The incident occurred on September 2, with the vessel coming under fire while traveling through the strategically important waterway.

The attack is believed to have been carried out by unidentified missiles, with Reuters citing the British maritime security agency UKMTO as stating that three missiles struck the tanker. Both sailors killed in the attack were Filipino nationals, Bahri confirmed.

This incident follows a warning from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to oil tankers to obtain prior permission before passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Bahri has stated it is maintaining close communication with the ship's crew and coordinating with relevant authorities and partners.
