Strait of Hormuz Closure: Iran Demands End to US Naval Blockade

The Iranian government has announced that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the US ends its naval blockade. According to Esmaeil Baqaei, the country's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, the closure is a direct result of US and Israeli military aggression against Iran.

Baqaei stated that the reopening of the strategic waterway depends on the conditions imposed by the US and Israel. As long as the naval blockade continues, the necessary conditions do not exist for the Strait to reopen.

The Strait of Hormuz is a crucial energy corridor, connecting the Persian Gulf with the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea. It carries oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports from major Gulf producers to international markets.
