Strong Dollar and US-Iran Tensions Weigh Down Silver Futures
Silver futures fell by nearly 1% to Rs 2.33 lakh/kg on Wednesday, marking their fourth consecutive decline.
The drop in silver prices was attributed to a strong US dollar and rising US Treasury yields, which reduced demand for the precious metal.
US-Iran tensions added another layer of uncertainty to the Federal Reserve's interest-rate outlook, further pressuring prices.
Gaurav Garg, Head of Research at Lemonn Markets Desk, said that silver extended its decline in Wednesday's session as rising US Treasury yields and a stronger dollar reduced demand for assets such as precious metals.
