Sugar Prices Trade Steady to Higher Across Indian Spot Markets
Sugar prices in India's domestic market have been trading steady to higher across major spot markets. According to Vizzie's daily sugar market update on August 10, 2026, prices increased by around ₹10-20 per quintal in Uttar Pradesh due to good buying.
The price spread between Kolhapur and Muzaffarnagar narrowed drastically, supporting the sentiment in Uttar Pradesh. In North India, M-grade sugar prices in Muzaffarnagar were quoted at ₹4,730, ₹4,800 per quintal, while in Maharashtra, S-grade sugar prices in Kolhapur were reported at ₹4,560, ₹4,620 per quintal.
Ex-mill sugar prices for various states on August 10, 2026, show a range of ₹4,550 to ₹4,800 per quintal. Destination-wise spot prices also reveal significant variations, with M/30 grade sugar prices in Delhi trading at ₹5,029.50 per quintal.
