Summer Stagnation Grips Natural Gas Market

Natural gas prices have been stuck in neutral this week, as the summer season brings a glut of supply and limited demand.

The price has remained flat near $2.64, trading below both the 50-day and 200-day EMAs due to the oversupply of natural gas.

According to market analysts, traders are pricing in the seasonality of this contract quite brutally, resulting in a bearish market that seems to be waiting around for autumn to bring more demand.

However, Qatar's recent purchases of liquefied natural gas to fill orders in the European Union may have an impact on winter supply dynamics.
