Summit LNG Begins Regasified LNG Supply in Bangladesh
Summit LNG Terminal has begun supplying regasified liquefied natural gas to Bangladesh's national grid at a rate of 110 million cubic feet per day. The supply is expected to improve gas availability for industries, power generation, and other consumers. According to a press release, the terminal will gradually increase its supply to its full capacity of around 550mmcfd by 2am on August 15th.
Summit LNG emphasized the importance of maintaining safe and reliable operations, as well as maximizing gas delivery within technical capacity. The company views an adequate energy supply as essential for Bangladesh's industrial growth, employment, and economic development. To achieve this goal, Summit LNG will continue to work closely with Petrobangla and the Government of Bangladesh.
