Summit LNG Supply Resumes at 550 MMCFD After Brief Disruption
Summit LNG's operations have returned to normal after a brief disruption, and it is now supplying around 550 million cubic feet per day of regasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) to Bangladesh's national grid. This increased supply comes at a crucial time for the country, as it struggles with ongoing energy shortages.
The company had suspended its operations on August 13 due to rough seas preventing an LNG cargo from being connected to the terminal. However, with normalcy restored, Summit LNG is committed to maintaining safe and reliable operations, maximizing gas delivery within its technical capacity and the national transmission system.
In a statement, Summit Group emphasized the importance of ensuring adequate and uninterrupted energy supply for Bangladesh's industrial growth, employment, and economic development. The company will continue working closely with Petrobangla and the Government of Bangladesh to support the country's energy security and alleviate gas shortages.
