The Summit LNG terminal has resumed supplying regasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) to Bangladesh's national grid after a brief shutdown. The terminal had been idle since yesterday afternoon due to issues with connecting an LNG cargo to its floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU).

According to the terminal's statement, it began supplying around 110 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) at 6:10pm. By tomorrow morning, output is expected to rise to around 550 mmcfd.

The additional supply is expected to ease gas shortages affecting industries, power plants, and households. Petrobangla officials have confirmed that another LNG carrier, Al Hamra, had been waiting offshore for several days but was not allowed to berth at the terminal due to concerns over its suitability.
