Gold prices in Surat have seen an upward trend on August 13, 2026. According to GoodReturns update, 24-karat gold is now priced at ₹15,518 per gram, a gain of ₹27 from the previous update. The price of 22-karat gold has risen by ₹25 to ₹14,225 per gram, while 18-karat gold increased by ₹21 to ₹11,640 per gram.
Over the past week, gold prices have shown significant growth in Surat. From August 4 to August 13, 24K gold rates have climbed from ₹14,405 per gram to ₹15,518 per gram, while 22K gold has increased from ₹13,205 to ₹14,225 per gram.
The global market is also experiencing a surge in gold prices. Spot gold was little changed at $4,408.55 per ounce after rising around 1% and reaching its highest level since June 5. The US inflation data released on Thursday showed that consumer prices rose just 0.1% in July, easing annual inflation to 3.4% from 3.5% in June.
Market expectations for a September rate increase have fallen, with traders pricing in roughly a 40% probability of a Fed hike, down from about 54% a week earlier. This reduced interest-rate expectation is supporting gold prices as it decreases the opportunity cost of holding non-yielding precious metal.
