Syrian Gold Prices Hold Steady Amid International Market Volatility
The Syrian market for gold prices remained stable over the weekend, maintaining levels seen on Thursday. According to a bulletin from the General Authority for Precious Metals Management, one gram of 21 karat gold was priced at 16,000 Syrian pounds for sales and 15,700 pounds for purchases. The price for 18 karat gold was set at 13,700 pounds for sales and 13,400 pounds for purchases.
The international market saw the price of an ounce of gold reach $4,348 US dollars. Local prices in Syria are influenced by global trends, exchange rate fluctuations, and domestic supply and demand. The authority issues regular bulletins to specify official prices.
