Syrian Gold Prices Plummet Amid Global Market Volatility
The General Authority for Precious Metals' Management in Syria has announced a price drop for gold in the local market. The 21-karat gold saw its selling price decrease by 250 Syrian pounds per gram on Saturday, September 5. The buying and selling prices are now set at 15,850 and 16,150 Syrian pounds ($129.92 and $132.38) per gram, respectively.
The authority has also fixed the international market price of an ounce of gold at $4,430. For comparison, the 18-karat gold saw its selling price decrease to 13,850 Syrian pounds ($113.52), while the buying price stands at 13,550 pounds ($111.07).
