T&T's Oil Production Stabilizes at 54,000 Barrels Per Day
Trinidad and Tobago's oil production has shown signs of stabilizing in 2026, according to recent data from the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries. The country's crude oil and condensate output averaged 54,209 barrels per day during the first three months of this year, a moderate increase compared to last year.
The data shows that production increased by approximately 2,447 barrels per day, or 4.7 percent, from the same period in 2025. This follows a 5.7 percent increase in average production in 2025 compared to 2024.
The improvement is attributed to stronger production from major players such as EOG Resources, Perenco, and bpTT. EOG recorded the largest year-on-year increase, with its crude and condensate output averaging 3,821 barrels per day during the first three months of this year, compared to approximately 1,773 barrels per day in the same period last year.
