Talos Energy Posts Record Free Cash Flow as Production Surpasses Guidance
Talos Energy reported record adjusted free cash flow in Q2 as production exceeded guidance. President and CEO Paul Goodfellow said oil production averaged about 69,000 barrels per day during the quarter, while total production averaged nearly 94,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
The company raised its full-year standalone production outlook and outlined progress on acquisitions, development projects, and international expansion. Talos generated approximately $402 million of adjusted EBITDA and a record approximately $232 million of adjusted free cash flow in the second quarter.
Goodfellow highlighted the completion of the Genovesa workover, which returned the well to production ahead of schedule late in the second quarter. The company expects production from the Monument project near the end of 2026 and has contracted the West Vela rig for 12 months with options beyond that term.
Talos is evaluating an operated drilling opportunity at Coulomb that could compete for capital in 2027. The company also discussed its offshore Mexico farm-in and newly established offshore Honduras acreage position, where it plans to begin a 3D seismic program in the second half of 2026.
