Tanzania President Seeks Faster Infrastructure Delivery Through Public-Private Partnerships
Tanzania's President Samia Suluhu Hassan has called for faster infrastructure delivery in Africa through public-private partnerships, citing the need for tangible results that improve citizens' daily lives.
The call came as Tanzania signed agreements covering power transmission and natural gas projects during the Africa50 Infrastructure Forum in Dar es Salaam. The agreements involve Africa50, TAQA Arabia, and the Government of Tanzania through various ministries.
President Samia emphasized that infrastructure is a foundation for increasing Africa's competitiveness and attracting investment. She highlighted Tanzania's investments in the Port of Dar es Salaam, Standard Gauge Railway, roads, bridges, and strategic development corridors to strengthen its position as a regional trade gateway.
