Tashkent Gas Supplies Suspended for Repair Work on August 22
Tashkent residents in two districts will face a temporary natural gas outage on August 22, 2026. The disruption is necessary for repair work and relocating high-pressure and medium-pressure gas pipelines into safe zones.
The affected areas are Sergeli and Almazar districts, with the Junariq neighborhood assembly and Yoshlik neighborhood assembly impacted by the suspension. In Sergeli, 1,056 households in eight apartment buildings along Junariq Street will be without natural gas, while in Almazar, residents of Tansykbayev-1 and Tansykbayev-2 will experience a temporary outage.
The relocation is required to move the pipeline over the Junaryk canal and an underground medium-pressure pipeline in the Tansykbayev-2 residential area. Gas service will be cut off from 10:00 to 17:00 on August 22, and supplies will be restored once the repair work is completed.
