TCP Seeks International Wheat Suppliers Amid Domestic Shortage
The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has invited international bidders to supply up to 750,000 metric tonnes of wheat for domestic consumption. The move comes as a result of lower-than-expected production during the previous crop season, which has led to a shortage in the country.
According to the tender issued by TCP, suppliers must meet certain standards and specifications prescribed by the corporation and the Import Policy Order in force. Bids for quantities less than 50,000 metric tonnes will not be accepted.
The tender documents are available on TCP and Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) websites until September 16, 2026, while sealed bids must be submitted by 11:30 am on the same day at TCP's Karachi office.
