Telix Breaks Through as Oil Price Surge Spoils ASX Mood

The Australian stock market started the week on a mixed note, with some sectors showing modest gains while others struggled to recover from last week's losses.

However, the overall mood was spoiled by rising oil prices, which jumped above US$107 after attacks in the Middle East.

Telix Pharmaceuticals (ASX:TLX) stole the show, however, with its PET imaging drug Pixclara receiving FDA approval for glioma brain cancer treatment.

This is a major breakthrough for Telix and gives it a foothold in the US diagnostics market beyond prostate cancer.
