Tennessee Gas Prices Fall 11 Cents Amid Crude Oil Price Decline

Tennessee drivers are enjoying lower gas prices after a steady decrease of 11 cents over the last week. The current average price for regular gasoline in Tennessee is $3.55, which is still five cents higher than it was a month ago and 77 cents more than it was this time last year.

The decline in gas prices can be attributed to lower crude oil prices, according to Megan Cooper, spokeswoman for AAA - The Auto Club Group. 'Lower crude oil prices continue to provide relief for Tennessee drivers by helping to push pump prices lower across the state,' she said.

The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline has also fallen, decreasing by nine cents to $4.00 over the past week. Oil prices have dropped to $70 per barrel amid optimism that the Strait of Hormuz will resume normal operations. Currently, half of the United States is paying below $4 per gallon.
