Tennessee Gas Prices Rise to $3.66 Per Gallon Amid National Increase
The gas prices in Tennessee have seen a slight increase over last week, with the state average rising to $3.66 per gallon of regular unleaded gasoline.
This is four cents less expensive than one month ago and 89 cents more expensive than one year ago, according to data from AAA - The Auto Club Group.
The national gas prices have also increased, with the national average reaching $4.08 per gallon.
Megan Cooper, a spokeswoman for AAA, said that elevated crude oil prices are putting upward pressure on prices at the pump and that Tennesseans can expect more expensive Labor Day gas prices than last year, when drivers paid $2.76 per gallon.
