Texas Gas Prices Soar as Crude Oil Costs Keep Climbing
Texas gas prices are once again on the rise, leaving drivers feeling pinched. According to AAA Texas, the average price for a gallon of regular gas is $3.64 this week, which is just one cent higher than last week.
However, gas prices have increased significantly in many cities across the state. In Amarillo, prices jumped 26 cents in just one week, with residents now paying an average of $3.76 per gallon.
The national average is currently at $4.10 a gallon, with Brent Crude Oil nearing $100 per barrel and WTI Crude sitting at $85.62. Experts warn that gas prices may continue to rise due to the ongoing closure of the Strait of Hormuz and Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries.
