Texas Oil Production Slips to 5-Year Low in June 2026
The Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) has released the June 2026 oil and gas production statistics for the state. According to the report, there were 157,460 oil wells and 82,409 gas wells in operation during that month.
The preliminary total Texas reported production for June 2026 was approximately 120 million barrels of crude oil and 1.05 trillion cubic feet of total gas. This represents a decrease from the updated total reported production for June 2025, which was approximately 143 million barrels of crude oil and 1.12 trillion cubic feet of total gas.
It's worth noting that the RRC reports on crude oil production separately from condensate, which is reported separately as well. For full oil and gas production statistics, readers can visit the links provided by the RRC.
