Texas Panhandle Gas Prices Soar 13.4 Cents in One Week
Gas prices in the Texas Panhandle have increased by 13.4 cents in just one week, reaching an average of $3.57 per gallon in Amarillo, according to GasBuddy data.
This sharp jump can put a strain on household budgets, but there may be some relief ahead with cheaper winter gas. However, due to ongoing conflicts in major producing regions, the outlook is not promising.
Patrick De Haan, petroleum analyst at GasBuddy, said that average gasoline prices have climbed back above $4 per gallon over the last week, driven by rebounding oil prices and continued closures of key infrastructure.
The price variation across Amarillo was significant, with a 74-cent gap between the lowest listed price of $3.35 per gallon and the highest of $4.09 per gallon.
