Tinubu Secures Landmark 15-Year Gas Deal for Nigeria's First Indigenous LNG Plant
The Pan-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for securing a 15-year gas supply agreement for the UTM Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) project.
The deal, signed during NOG Energy Week in Abuja, guarantees the supply of 200 million standard cubic feet of gas daily to the facility.
PANDEF described the development as a major boost for Nigeria's energy sector and the economic transformation of the Niger Delta.
The agreement addresses one of the key requirements for the project's Final Investment Decision (FID) and is expected to generate substantial foreign exchange through future LNG exports.
