Titan Secures Long-Term Charter for New LNG Bunkering Vessel
Titan Clean Fuels has secured a long-term agreement with France's Sogestran for a new 6,000 cubic meter LNG bunkering vessel. The ship will be built at Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering in China and is expected to operate across the western Mediterranean.
The two companies collaborated on the vessel's design, tailoring it to the specific conditions of Mediterranean harbours and LNG facilities. The newbuild will enable direct bunkering of cruise liners without relying on a floating intermediary.
Titan intends to position the vessel at various regional terminals in the western Mediterranean, taking on LNG and delivering liquefied biomethane (bio-LNG) at key ports such as Fos-Marseille, Barcelona, and Genoa. The ship will also perform gas-up and cooldown services for LNG-powered ships.
This agreement provides commercial backing for an order that initially appeared at Posidonia in June, when Sogestran inked a letter of intent with CIMC SOE for the 6,000 cubic metre unit.
