Titan Sees Jewellery Demand Rebound Despite High Gold Prices
Titan's jewellery business saw a rebound in demand despite high gold prices in July. The company's managing director, Ajoy Chawla, attributed this to consumer sentiment recovering as weddings resumed at the start of June.
The recovery helped drive a 20% year-on-year increase in consolidated revenue from operations for April-June, reaching ₹21,356 crore. Net profit rose 63% to ₹1,777 crore, beating estimates.
Titan is focusing on regional expansion and higher-value studded jewellery to stay ahead in the market. The company's market share remains in single digits, leaving room for further gains.
