Toho Emerald LNG Carrier Named at South Korea Ceremony

A naming ceremony was held in South Korea for the newly built liquefied natural gas carrier Toho Emerald. The event took place on September 9 at a Samsung Heavy Industries facility, marking the latest step in the joint venture arrangement between Japanese shipping company Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha and Toho Gas.

The vessel is owned through a joint venture involving K Line and Toho LNG Shipping, a wholly owned subsidiary of Toho Gas. The ownership vehicle, T.K. LNG Shipping Pte. Ltd., was established in Singapore to hold LNG carriers and carry out LNG transportation.
