TotalEnergies Speeds Up Angolan Oil Production Plans
TotalEnergies is ramping up its exploration efforts in Angola's waters. The company has made a new discovery, Acacia-5, in Block 17 and plans to bring it online just three months after the discovery was made in June 2026.
The oil will be produced through a fast-track development using the nearby Pazflor FPSO, increasing production by 6,000 barrels per day (bpd). This is TotalEnergies' second exploration success this year in Angola.
TotalEnergies has also acquired operated interests in two new exploration blocks, Blocks 17/25 and 32/21, in the Lower Congo Basin. The company sees Angola as a key pillar of its ambition in the region.
