Tous Seeks Global Relevance Amidst Rising Raw Material Costs
Spanish jewellery company Tous has reported a significant decline in sales and net profit for its 2025 financial year. The brand, which has been family-owned since 1920, saw a turnover of €493 million, representing a 5.74% decrease from the previous year's €523 million.
This drop in sales was accompanied by a drastic 58.67% decline in net profit to €18.6 million, down from €45 million in 2024. The company cited rising gold and silver prices as one of the main factors contributing to its decreased profitability.
Tous has chosen not to pass on these increased costs to customers, instead opting to absorb them internally to maintain its 'affordable luxury' positioning.
As part of a renewed strategic plan, Tous aims to regain international momentum by 2027. The company's CEO, Susana Sánchez, emphasized the need for transformation and competitiveness in the global market, stating that 'the coming years will not be easy' but expressing confidence in the brand's direction.
The updated 'GEM' strategic plan focuses on four key areas: product diversification, technological innovation, improved retail experience, and international expansion. By revamping its offerings and adopting new technologies, Tous hopes to accelerate growth and become a leading global jewellery company by 2027.
