Trekor Metals Sees Profit Surge on Copper Output
Trekor Metals has reported its second-quarter 2026 results, showing significant growth. The company's sales rose to CA$330.55 million and net income reached CA$22.22 million, with diluted earnings per share from continuing operations at CA$0.06. For the first half of 2026, Trekor moved from a CA$6.69 million loss to a CA$39.06 million profit on CA$567.65 million in sales.
The company's strong copper production and record prices contributed to its profitability. Its Yellowhead project is progressing, with an environmental assessment underway. Trekor has submitted its Detailed Project Description and received a Readiness Decision, supporting the long-term growth story behind the current earnings momentum and 36 million pounds of quarterly copper production.
However, investors should be aware of potential risks, including permitting delays or higher costs at Yellowhead. Analysts have varying forecasts for the company's future performance, with some expecting CA$1.5 billion revenue and CA$383.2 million earnings by 2029.
